Latest News & Announcements
It is with a heavy heart that I have to share this information, but yesterday one of our teachers, Ms. Brigman, died due to heart issues. Her death was not COVID-19 related. Students were informed of this at school today and the district crisis team was made available to any students and staff that needed to speak to someone.
Ms. Brigman, who taught English here at RCHS for the past four years, was a valued and beloved member of our staff and we will always remember her fondly. We have been in contact with her family and any information regarding her service or memorial will be shared as we receive the information.
Our school-based mental health team will remain available to any student or staff member that needs assistance throughout this time of mourning. In addition to these school-based services please reference the attachment for ways to support your child as they cope with their grief at home.

The Ridge Community High School Graduating Class of 2021 is scheduled to celebrate this momentous occasion on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 7pm at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
At this time, families should plan on no more than 4 tickets for the in-person ceremony. However, please note, due to the ever-changing nature of the COVID-19 Pandemic, all plans are subject to change. Please stay tuned to the RCHS App, website and social media channels for most up to date information.
As the temperature cooled down, and the stadium lights warmed up, a small, masked up and socially distanced crowd began to form at Bolts Stadium. Sure, they were there to watch the BOLTS tear up the turf against Lennard High School, but they were also there to celebrate our annual Homecoming tradition! Without a formal dance this year to sum up the weeks festivities, our ceremony on the field was a crowning moment (pun intended)!
Our senior Homecoming King nominees were: Ethan Mitchell, Omari Raiford, Angel Rodriguez-Portillo, Dennis White, Levi Young and Samuel Zimero.
Our senior Homecoming Queen nominees were: Melanie Berrios Morales, Kaliah Bowland, Solymar Cintron, Mackenzie Dunn, Chanda Mwelwa and Asia Santiago.
Under the bright lights, at approximately 6:55pm, our Homecoming King, Dennis White was crowned. Shortly thereafter, our Homecoming Queen, Kaliah Bowland, took her throne!
Congratulations to our underclass court representatives:
